NOVA Prosthodontics was established in Fairfax, Virginia in 1980.  We specialize in Prosthodontics. Our mission is to identify and educate patients about their specific dental needs, offer viable treatment options, and provide the selected treatment using appropriate techniques and materials in the most efficient manner possible. Although our expertise is in restoring large and complex cases emphasizing both function and aesthetics, we also see patients who desire to be treated by a prosthodontist for less complex needs. The following are items we consider most important.

Doctors Training, Expertise & Continuing Education

All our doctors have completed American Dental Association accredited prosthodontic specialty programs. Our doctors consider continuing education essential and routinely attend dental meetings, lectures, seminars, and courses. This continuing education along with staying up on the most recent dental literature keeps us current with the newest technologies, products, and equipment allowing us to provide our patients with state-of-the-art dental care.  Being members of various professional dental associations and societies also helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession. All our doctors routinely exceed the continuing education hours required of the State of Virginia.  Additionally, having three doctors allows for valuable "in office" consultation for complex cases.

Patient Education & Preventive Care

We not only identify patients dental conditions, but thoroughly educate them about their specific dental needs and treatment options so they may select the most appropriate treatment. Our practice believes that preventive care and education is key to optimal dental health.  We strive to provide long term dental care focusing on thorough exams of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer detection exams, and taking radiographs (x-rays) when necessary. We also stress routine cleanings and oral hygiene instructions that help prevent dental disease. Reviewing and updating of your medical history allows us to stay informed of your overall health, any changes in medical conditions and/or medications medical that may impact your dental health.

In house Dental Laboratory

As our specialty involves the replacement of missing teeth, we believe it is essential to have both a fixed and removable dental laboratory on site. This also allows us to efficiently undertake immediate restorations of dental implants and also perform same day repairs of removable dentures in most cases.

Safety and Infection Control

Infection control in our office is absolutely essential to protect our patients and ourselves.  We strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

A Positive Experience

We understand how uneasy some patients can feel about their dental visits. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with excellent, personalized care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.  We strive in working to provide a relaxing and positive experience.
